Which cards should I apply for???

Hi All,

First off I am in the garden till at least 3/2013 but with such a drastic improvement in my credit I have started researching cards that I may want to apply for when the time comes. Because I am so afraid of rejection I am going to give you guys a quick run down of what my credit looks like so I can maybe get a feel of what types of cards I will be approved for.

So as far as baddies:

I have 2 tax liens from California ( currently unpaid but I am going to pay them next week) so I will most likely have 2 paid liens on my record because from what I can gather here that Cali never deletes liens.

One CO for my student loan that was rehabbed. So there are 6 current paid TLs and the old Direct Loans TL that has been impossible to remove.

One medical collection for $285 that is not paid but I will pay it , just sent out a DV and PFD but have gotten no love from the CA so far> Want this to be deleted but it may just be a paid collection, only time will tell with that one.

I have one car repo on my EQ report from 09.

One paid collection from Equinox also from 09. I am trying to GW that one bet no luck so far.

As far as good stuff goes :

I have 6 installment student loans fro 07 with no lates.

An old paid as agreed, revolver from 06 with no lates

Paid car loan from 06 with no lates.

My AAOA is 7 or 8 years depending on the CRA

Oldest  Account is 12.8 yrs.

No inquires on any reports.

I have not used credit at all for the past 4 years and need to get back in the game. All insight and suggestions will be much appreciated. Smiley Happy

You could try the CapOne Cash Rewards card or Citizens Bank Platinum Visa

Re: Which cards should I apply for???

I suggest you likely need to start with secured  card.   Don't apply until after you have paid off the items you have listed.

Capital One would be a good choice among major banks as they are less likely to deny.
