So the chase Marriott card gets 2x points at outback, melting pot, everywhere? And I use the points only for hotels? And you get a complimentary Cat 1-5 stay yearly.
The Marriott initial Free Night is for Cat 1-5. The subsequent annual Free Night is Cat 1-4.
Yes, the Marriott and Hyatt cards get 1 point standard, 2 points for dining out. Those points would go toward the hotel plan.
The other to seriously consider is the Club Carlson from US Bank. That has Radisson and other hotels, and figuring up the earnings potential of the points, I think Club Carlson has a better overall points earning capability. For example, if you pay for a stay using the card, the combination of plain points and CC points works out to about a 20% return. With Club Carlson, if you have enough points to cover two nights, the second night is free, so you end up only using one night of points for two nights.

Wrong.
"
ANNUAL FREE NIGHT STAY*
After your account opening, receive a free night stay at a category 1-4 hotel. You'll also receive a free night stay in a category 1-5 hotel each year after your account anniversary. "
Directly from the site.
So it is, Marriott Category 1-4 initial, Category 1-5 annual after that.

Basically asking what card/company should I add to my mix if I'm missing one. Ideas?
You need to answer such questions for yourself. "Good" isn't determined by the creditor or the product. It's determined by what suits you best. What are you looking for?
