Who's most likely to give me a prime card.....

So I'm getting closer and closer to my goal and getting ready to apply for some prime cards. My history is that I had about 7 defaulted CCs from 2005 and their have almost all aged off. Just waiting for a couple of more. My scores are below but they should have gone up a bit more since I have a couple more accounts age off. I'll pull my final scores before I apply.

Just doing some research. After everything is aged off, the only negative marks will be a PR (paid judgement) showing only on TU. that won't fall off till 2015. I'll also have a handful of 30 days lates but they are over 4 years old.

This is my wish list:

AMEX BPC
Chase Freedom or Shappire
US Bank Cash+

Who is more likely to extend a larger limit regardless of my current toy limits. I really want the BCP the most.

What APP spree strategy should I take?? Which do you guys recommend I go for first.

I hope all scores will be over 730-740 when I'm ready to app
Fico Scores: TU 700 (10/12/2016) EQ 729 (10/01/2016) EX 713 (10/01/16)

AMEX BCP $25,000 (opened 09/2012) - Citi TYP $12,000 (opened 12/2012) Chase Sapphire Preffered $6000 (opened 09/2012)

i would app for freedom and amex... IF your EX report is similar to your TU report. If there are big differences then wait until all baddies have aged off. I don't think you have a chance with cash +… You may try discover IT...

Re: Who's most likely to give me a prime card.....

Good point, luckily that is not the case....

I will never be able to get a Wells Fargo card since (2) of the COs were WF.

the other ones were:

(2) Sears, I think both of them backed by CBSD,

(1)Bestbuy backed by HSBC

(1) Fletcher's card backed by First credit

The one that does worry was a Providian CC... Right after I defaulted WaMu bought them, the. Chase owns them. They have been showing as Chase for the last couple of years in my report but I really never have had a Chase. Hope that doesn't burn me.

Unfortunately Chase has a long memory and that may be an issue. Only way to really know is to app when ready, it shouldn't be a HP if your blacklisted.

Re: Who's most likely to give me a prime card.....

So the US bank is harder to get? I've been reading some posts that people have gotten then with low 700s.... And have gotten good limits.....

My EX will be my best score, they should be higher than TU since those two reports are almost identical, minus the PR... So it should be higher.

Re: Who's most likely to give me a prime card.....

If I'm correct AMEX will most likely be an EX pull and possibly Chase too.

About a year and a half ago, I got way ahead of my self and did apply for chase. That was before I found these forums. At that time it was a hard pull on EX so is that a sign that I am not blacklisted?

Re: Who's most likely to give me a prime card.....

You really should have at least one credit line reporting with at least a $5,000 limit on your reports before you go after the Cash+ card as it is a Visa signature card, or even the Chase Sapphire Preferred since that is also a signature card.

Amex might be your best strategy - app for the BCP and if approved, ask for a 3x CLI in 61 days.  That might be the quickest way to reach the $5,000 limit, and then you could pursue the CSP and Cash+ cards.
