Barclay takes over and now everyone running thru the front door like its Black Friday
to get one . Why ?
Flavor Of The Month ?
Monkey See Monkey Do ?
Just because it's a WMC/WEMC ?
I wanted it but the $40 AF is kind of meh. Barclay's cards are actually decent for what they are. I would be all over it if I knew BArclay's would approve me lol
I wouldnt except anything less
and I agree with what others said, pentup about hearing about it/mixed with bonus and any credit board will have a good share of excited takers.
the card reminds me of a mixture of sears mastercard, mixed with walmart/sams club mastercards genre lol. the fee version looks much nicer than the fee one, which is usually the case lol.

Good question. I do not have that card but if I did... I would much rather it be issued by Amex based on my experince with both companies.
yeah at least Amex will approve me lol... Barlcay's not so much. Granted I have like 17 inq's on TU, 30 on my EX and 27 on my EQ
@ScoreOrBeScored wrote:I see a lot of folk saying they are Jet Blue fans but yet to have the card til now.
Amex have offered the card for a long time and never see any approval threads for it.
Mow tnat Barclay has it, the fans come out the wood works to get it . Psssshhh
Lol? Becuase the vast public goes to Myfico.com let alone a forum period?
@happypill wrote:I think the biggest reason is that the card was with Amex for a long time, so by the last few months, people who wanted the card already had it, thus no rush for apps. With a new lender, it's only normal that the initial rush is pronounced. It will die down after people who want the card get it.
Other contributing factors are the quite a few people are blacklisted with Amex and it takes a really really long time to forget. Barclays doesn't have as extensive a history. Another factor would be that I think Amex push some of their other partner cards more heavily (Delta seems to be their primary air partner, and SPG was always popular).
For Barclays, I think Jet Blue is a great partnership win.
Yeah the JEtblue one was always at the bottom of the list tucked away
It's a "new" and exciting card, I guess. They did enhance it in some ways with the move to Barclay's.

Some ways? In every way. the free one has no FTE and gives you 3X points on Jetblue flights and jetblue related stuff, 2X at dining and gas and 1X everywhere else. with points that don't expire you can easily rack up enough points if you use the card as your daily driver. The $99 AF versions is 6X jetblue related purchases, 2 or 3X for dining and 1x everything else. Also get 5,000 points every year among other things. The Non AF version is i believe the only Airline card that offers a no AF that you can app for currently with no FTF. This card trumps the Amex one in everyway other than the fact it isn't an Amex.
I'm pretty sure I got the first one on Myfico. I posted this in my approval thread on why I wanted the card:
I actually like the looks of the card. I actually like the company as well. When two New York police officers were murdered in their patrol cars, Jetblue flew more than 300 police officers across the country to New York free of charge to attend the funeral. They give discounts to military vets. Have flown family members of deceased veterans so they could attend funerals they normally would not have been able to afford. You can rack up some points by using some of their vacation programs and paying with your JB card and max the points that way with them. For the first 90 days if you run $1,000 thru the new card you get 10,000 pints to apply towards future travel with them. They are also expanding their areas as well. The rates on the flights and bag fees are better than most that I have seen.

You're right, it's a lot better -- I didn't look into it very deeply because I am not interested. It does seem to be taking off though.

Honestly if this came out a month ago I would of gotten it over the Citi AA but oh well. Citi has given me more love than Barclay's and the Citi AA card isn't bad. I just made my $3,000 spending for 50,000 miles with my recent trip to LA so I can go to LA during spring break for free to go along with my hotel points
