Why So Hard: World Elite MasterCard

Why is it so hard to find World Elite MasterCard cards? There are tons of "Visa Signtures" I called MasterCard last night after looking on their site, and still it so hard to find "World Elite MasterCard" cards. Is there an old thread or list some where?

Here's a few:

Chase United MileagePlus Club World Elite MasterCard

Chase Sapphire Preferred World Elite MasterCard

Citi Executive AAdvantage World Elite

Ameriprise World Elite MasterCard

Anymore?

Re: Why So Hard: World Elite MasterCard

There are several Citi cards that can be upgraded to WEMC at Citi's discretion. Also, the word 'elite' usually at least implies exclusivity.

In wallet: Ink Plus 10k, AMEX TE 25k. In bag: CSP 16k, USAA WMC 15k, Hyatt 13k, United MPE 12k, AMEX HHonors 3k. In SD: Cap 1 QS 5k, Discover IT 7k. FICO 08 says my EQ is now 844, was 510 in 2010.

The TYPreferred does exist in a WE version - I've processed one for payment at my work and have had card envy ever since! lol

800+ across all three (via FAKOs) has been achieved! Current goal - Get down to 6 cards in total - sitting with 8 currently.

Re: Why So Hard: World Elite MasterCard

You can get World Elite via applying for higher end cards with high annual fees is the typical path or apply for a World MasterCard from Citi, Barclays and other lenders that may later upgrade you to World Elite. TY Preferred, TY Premier, Dividend, all have WE but only via an upgrade which the criteria/spend can vary. So if you need WE asap, apply for one of the few that issue it.
