Why am I not pre-qualifying??

I may be wrong, but I don't think hitting the pre-qual site automatically generates a soft pull check for qualification. In many cases I think all it does is search the CC companies database of recent sp pre-quals to see if you are listed. In my sig, the only CC's that were pre-quals are the QS, Venture, and Freedom. Everything else was no pre-qual found, but I cold apped anyway. I also don't get any snail mail offers.

^^^^* this is correct as stated. They don't do sp for every ore approval. I agree. I think the cras provide some kind of list to lenders.

I never get pre-qual'd yet I get approved for cards that I go after. So far, still waiting to get in with Chase though. I have too many new accounts for them. They do not like 5+ within 2 years. So I have to wait til 2017 to get in with them!
