It wasn't the hard pull at car rentals that motivated me to address my credit. It was difficulty in getting some rentals to even consider letting me use a debit card in the first place. At the time I had no idea what a hard pull was or what a credit report had in it.

I have reestablished credit over the last couple years
so my moniker is, well, rather out of date.

they really need to teach kids credit in their senior year....
