Me too... I want an AmEx or a CLI on my Discover but I am holding off in order to be approved for a card from PenFed. They opened my checking, savings, and auto loan but denied my credit card app. So I figured I would wait 6 months to a year before re-apping.

Re: Why is it so hard to refrain?

I think hearing everyone's approval for certain cards makes me anxious as well.  I got the two I wanted so I'll be staying away from the apps for quite some time.  It's CLIs from here on out!!  Well, until my INQs drop to a reasonable level.

Re: Why is it so hard to refrain?

I love hearing about people getting approved for cards, but it kills me inside. I sit here and read every thread and go "ME WANT!!!"
