Yes, this is true for all Amex cards. Account Services, Card Management, Additional Cards and Custom Limits.
When you give someone an Additional Card, you can assign an individual custom limit and receive an Alert whenever the balance reaches a spending threshold determined by you. Custom limits on Additional Cards can be modified or removed at any time.
Let's say I app for a card on Jan 1.
Feb 1, I add an AU.
July 1, remove the AU.
Aug 1, I add a different person as AU.
If it was on Prestige, would I pay $50 for having one AU, or $100 for having two people as AUs?
If on Platinum, would it be $175x1 for having 1-3 AUs? Or $175x2=$350 for having 1-3 AUs, then having 0 AUs, then having 1-3 AUs again?
What kind of money are we talking about?
$ 2,000, $5,000 or more? Just being nosy.
I am a little worried when a marriage is starting by borrowing money.

Great question, and I'm interested to hear if anyone has done this.
For Platinum, you could just get Gold AU cards at no cost for this situation.
