Does anyone know what Citi's policy on moving CLs between cards is?
I'd like to move some of my CL from my Dividend to Simplicity. Do they do that? Or do they say that you need to "qualify"? (I know they wouldn't let me PC!)
Thanks!

Various stories. Often the front-line CSR will say no. I got transferred to a specialist when I was thinking of closing one of my cards, and she said you can transfer when you close the card, but even then they keep $5K back "In case you need to reopen". So that was pretty extreme, you have to close and lose $5K. But others have had different experiences.

Their policies do fluctuate frequently so it's best to check first. Sometimes they won't reallocate a CL from a newer card, it can only be done from another one that's been active >12 months. Some folks have had no issues (I guess it depends on the overall history/relationship and who you get on the line), yet it's been not a good experience for others.
You can try your approach by requesting to be transferred to an account manager and see where that goes. Worse case scenario, you can contact their EO/retention department to see if there's some leverage there.

Well, that's perfect. I want to trsfr some CL from my Dividend, which I've had over a year, to my Simplicity, which I just recently got.

I think that should be fine, just ask for an account manager when you contact them. Let us know how it turns out so others can learn about your experience. Citi can be all over the map on these things.
