I joined alliant cu last year. Just opened a savings and checking account because my low scores, eq 597. Since then I have increased my score to 632. I just applied for $500 unsecured loan last month to start showing some positive payment history. Since it has not been 30 days since my credit pull, I was thinking about calling and asking to be considered for a CC. I searched the boards to find out the typical score needed for an alliant cc and it looks likes they approve with mid to high level 600s. So would I be crazy in asking for cc consideration just yet or should I hold tight and continue to work on my score?
