WaMu started me out with 10.5k on their regular platinum mastercard - preapproved. This was a little over a year ago. I've been a checking customer since 2001, but given other good customers' experiences in the land of DENIED!, I doubt that had much to do with it.
Since approval, they've added a rewards component and lowered my APR. No credit line increases, however.
