I was recently approved for the Walmart store card with a $700 limit. Will the automatically upgrade my card to Walmart Discover in the future?

My understanding is you have to apply again for the Discover... there seems to be confusion beyond that by CSR rather you could end up with a second walmart card or if they will just deny you.
My mom tried to upgrade her Chevron card to the visa and ended up with a second chevron card!

side note: Walmart Discover is not a good card for revolving...
GEMB has changed the 13.9 - 22.9 range previously relied upon for establishing new accts and decided all new cards will be warmly welcomed at 22.9%
