Just received my free report from Experian and I found it this .. AMEX has been soft pulling my report every day for the last month !
I opened my account .. Two cards just four months ago ... and just last month I got denied for a CLI on my 61st day.
Is this a good sign or a bad sign...? Does that make it easier to get approved for a CLI if a request that two months from today?

I've seen Amex soft pull frequently, like 3-4 times a month, and I've had them soft me two days in a row. Then I've seen them go for a couple of months without softing at all. Amex seems to like to keep an eye on their account holders. Since your cards are still new, they may be watching you closely. Amex has their own ways of doing things, and it's not easy to figure out what they're thinking. If you're managing your other accounts well and not showing signs of getting into trouble, then you should be fine.

I have no problem with my other accounts, they're all recent opened at the same time with AMEX. I was just surprised at the number of soft inquiries they've made. There are actually two different AMEX inquiries .. one says AMEX serviced by CIC and the other says AMEX account review! The most inquiries are made by the first one!

Capital One does this to me. Every month for 3 years straight...

Do you have a credit monitoring service through Amex? I thought that the CIC one was a credit monitoring service. I had one through Discover, and it showed up on my reports as Discover/CIC or something like that.

Actually, I do. I have the AMEX credit secure service. But why would they make such a high number of inquiries on my report?

That's how they monitor your report. Some services only monitor once a week or a couple of times a week. Sounds like the Amex one is monitoring every day, which is a good thing for a credit monitoring service in my opinion!

That could be actually me triggering all these soft pulls. I request a report several times a week.. !

Actually I question that statement. My USAA credit monitoring service does not do SP on all three of my credit report. SP from USAA only shows up when I refesh my credit report. If I left it alone for monitoring only, no SP is done.

Yeah, I was mistaken. I just went back and checked my report and compared dates. Just the monitoring service itself doesn't show up as a SP. But any time I refreshed a report, signed up for a new service, or anything like that, I show a SP.
