Re: World Elite Mastercard worth it?

MasterCard is supposedly rolling out a higher tier sometime soon. Once that's rolled out WEMC will be a lot more common.

Really? I haven't heard anything about that. Do you have a source?

Re: World Elite Mastercard worth it?

I'm looking for WEMC possibilities and it seems pretty tough to find cards without huge annual fees that offer world elite

As mxp said, there is a fee-free WEMC: the Cap1 GM card.

Just for the WE perks it may be worth getting. (the rest is not worth much in most situations)

Cards: BCE 24k 5/'17 | CF 12k 10/'15 | IHG 12k 10/'15 | HH 6k 6/'18 | DS It 6k 3/'15 | TR 5k 11/'15

Anyone else have comments about getting a world elite mastercard?

Worth is always highly subjective.  Have you looked at the World Elite benefits to see if they would be of use to you?

Have you looked at specific World Elite cards to see if they would be of benefit to you?  You can't just rely on polling to determine worth on any topic.

Any decent no annual fee WEMC's available to apply for right now?

Define "decent".  Also a highly subjective matter.  Is WEMC the only criteria?  Where do you draw the line of AF's?  Give us something to work with if you want recommendations.

Re: World Elite Mastercard worth it?

I mean in terms of benefits and rewards that make sense. For example the Capityal one GM WEMC isn't a product I am interested in because thew rewards don't apply to me.

Most WEMC rewards seem quite niche right now, i.e. a specific hotel or single airline

Re: World Elite Mastercard worth it?

I have no WEMC, but have been wondering the same thing..

tbh, I think a Visa Siggy beats any flavor of MC out there.

My Barclay Arrival World Mastercard looks cheap as heck :-( I guess I've become accustomed to EMV chips and metal cards LOL

+1,  I don't have the WMC version, but my Arrival does look kinda cheap in a way....my Hawaiian WEMC looks hella better.
