by GEMB when they take over from Citi.
It's my highest CL, and helps me keep my utl. under 6%.
I also have the store card.
I worry about what will happen once GEMB reviews my CR b/c they refuse to approve me for their Visa/MasterCard/Discover products.
I have 5 GEMB store cards.

Nevermind.
("=WSJ: GE Plans To Stay In Private-Label Credit Cards - Exec," published Thursday at 4:39 p.m. EDT, incorrectly said GE won a contract for Sears from Citibank in the fifth paragraph. The error derived from the source. The correct version follows![]()

Here's the thread that we first had going about this. Doubt was expressed that it included all the big CC's, because the value of the portfolio seemed too low:
GE Capital (GE Money Bank) obtains Citigroup Inc portfolio of cards
Here's the link for the WSJ correction mentioned above:
CORRECT(11/4): WSJ: GE Plans To Stay In Private-Label Credit Cards - Exec (interesting; WSJ seems to no longer know the rules of capitalization)
I'm still incredibly confused: GEMB is, or is not, buying Citi's credit card portfolio, and if so, how much of it?? I googled on "citi sells credit card portfolio", and I didn't find any updates beyond the basic 10/6 announcement.
