I'm sorry, but what does "meet the spend" mean?
To "meet the spend" usually means to spend enough to satisfy the spending requirements on a new card to get the signup bonus.
Just to update the thread with the results. The payment posted this morning and I applied for a 3x CLI and got the full amount taking me from 5.7k to 17.1k! Now its time to prepare for my citi american executive app and roll the dice.

Good for you!
Nice patience is a virtue although I don't think the outcome would of differ either way.
Nice CLI! It's interesting...when I pay my Amex it reflects immediately, before I even log off. Did you push it through your bank?

I did a pull payment as a push payment will take longer to show up in the amex computer. When I made the payment it immediately freed up my entire balance on my credit card, but the payment itself did not show on my account page until the following day.

Your probably right, but I figured why take the chance? I like to do everything I can to maximize my chances before making a move.
