Wow! $80,000 in credit

BofA Cash- $14,500
QuikSilver- $11,000
Venture- $10,000
Marriott- $8,000
Spark Cash- $6,000
Amazon-$6,000
AAdvantage- $5,000
Double Cash- $5,000
NCSECU-$5,000
Discover- $4,000
Citi Forward- $1,500

Discover denied me for a CLI because my reported UTL was too high, the BT balance on my QS reported before 0 balances of the payoffs did, so I'll try again when they update. But wow. This time two years ago o had a maxed out $2500 Forward, 2 $300 Cap One cards, a $300 NY&C card and a $300 Kohls card. My focus is now gardening, letting my accounts age and INQs fall off, and paying off my BTs. I will combine my QS and Venture to a $21,000 QS to soften the individual UTL on that card

Re: Wow! $80,000 in credit

I'm probably in the minority, but I hope to never get another CLI.  I already have WAY more credit than I need and have no desire to see my limits go up.

I'd have to look it up but I think I'm around 50 K.

Re: Wow! $80,000 in credit

Great job!

I had a similar feeling. My horizon was between April 2014 (with some $13.5k in credit) and April 2015 (with about $72k).

Hopefully you'll keep growing!

If it helps, freezing your reports and staying in the garden for 6 month stretches helps the profile a lot.

Re: Wow! $80,000 in credit

Congrats on the total credit limit although I dont really think it makes a big difference. Because I would never actually ring up such a high balance I couldnt pay off and ruin the credit I worked hard to build up. Been there before and dont ever want to be there again.
