I recommend checking the preselector! In the past I always checked it before applying btheist could never find any offers. Before applying recently I used the AMEX preselector and I finally got a "congratulations!". If you are preselected ten you probably already have an in.

I had checked the preselector frequently...nothing ever appeared on it. If I was more confident in my credit report (score was good but lates on it were bad, esp cap1 auto) then I would had probably applied for BCP and Gold charge card. However, I'm extremely happy to have the cards I got and I will be doing a lot of flying this year and the $25 savings per bag check-in plus the other perks really is nice!

Congrats! I was where you are now just a month ago, so I know how good it feels to get that amex approval.
