YES YES TO NAvy FCU

Last Dec11 the only credit cards I had was two HSBC one $675/$750 limit (both in a sealed envelope in my file cabinet -pd in full). I'm only keeping them for the long credit history.

I applied for a secure Navy FCU secure card for $3000.00 was approved. In Jan12 I was approved for a unsecured Navy VISA $5000. On Friday, I decide to apply for a Navy FCU unsecured MasterCard and this is what I got:

Congratulations! Based on your creditworthiness, you have been approved for a nRewards MasterCard credit card. Your new credit line will be $15,000.00. Your APR will be prime plus 10.74%.

One of my negative credit scoring factor is low credit limits so hopefully, my scores will increase some with higher limits. I have a 2 Barclay's, and Capital One and hopefully they will do a review in a few months and up my limits.

Thanks all for your help!!Smiley Very Happy

Congrats on the approvals !!! Navy is fantastic about giving great CLs !

And the scoring reason you listed is not from FICO ~ FICO scoring does not ding you for having low revolving credit limits. It only scores your utilization against the limit.
