I took the advice from the postings and contacted Nordstrom. After the service rep took my info she advised me that she would call me back with a decision. A couple of hours later I got a phone call my from the same rep indicating that my application was approved and that I would receive my card shortly. BTW, the rep informed me that they also pulled my Experian and Transunion report to assist in the decision.

I haven't pulled the trigger with Alliant yet. I'm not quite ready for another car note, although my husband says my car is on "life support."
