Thanks for the fast reply!
I wonder if I should make a larger deposit into my share account.
My credit is excellent . This is my first credit inquiry made in several years. I have not applied for any credit since 2007.

Congratz! I just sent in my application for membership, Had to join Voices for American troops, But I don't mind supporting those type of things
Hopefully I can get approved for the promise card, I saw the balance transfer interest rate.. If I can get approved for at least $5,000 I'll probably do the max balance transfer and pay everything off, To keep a single payment AND low interest !
Hopefully it works out... Either way, I want my car loan through them so I woulda had to done it at one point.

ZOMBIE THREAD!!!
They didn't get the memo....
It's still a valid topic and people are contributing to it. Mentioning the age of the thread, on the other hand, adds no value to the thread. If you want an old thread to die off then bumping it with posts is not the way to do it.
I was personally planing to wait until early-mid 2014 to apply with PenFed. I had just opened 3 other new card accounts in March and a fouth in June. Figured I'd give it a shot anyway and if I was declined it would be no big loss since I was planning on next year as it was. Instantly approved for $30K. I have old mortgage accounts but no current mortgages. Current mortgage is only under my wife's name as she bought the house nearly a decade before we married. I have one recently paid off car note and another active car note that is about a year old. Not sure what my FICO actually is. FWIW, CK is 762 and CS is 815. Income slightly above the bottom of the 6 figure mark.
The Zombie got me!!! I read the whole thing hehehe

Yep, time to put this one to bed.
