Yikes! A letter from Chase on my freedom acct

[ Edited ]

A mail carrier just delivered a letter from chase to me.

OMG!  they changed my Freedom VISA to SIGNATURE !!   Smiley Sad

Now my both of Freedoms CL (Visa 10.6k / MC 9k) will not report ...   not only for that, it won't include in the calculation for util too ~

Account ending in: xxxx

ACCOUNT UPDATE

  • Visa Signature benefits are being added to your Chase Freedom credit card
  • Watch for your new card to arrive in the mail after November 1, 2011
  • You will now have a credit access line instead of a credit limit.   Smiley Mad

Why did they change it to a Signature?  Can they do this without your request/consent?

Yes they can!

They did to my Freedom MC first to World MC , then now on my Freedom Visa.

I have one more cc with them, which is non-rewards card used to be Wa-Mu Platinum with small CL of 4k since transferred 2k to freedom Visa a few months a go.

Dang, that just seems so unfair!  Does it have something to do with your CL?

Not sure ~  Good Question!

I would like to ask other members who have more than 10k on their Freedom Visa ...

What is the status of your Freedom Visa?  Siggy or not?

Does Chase even issue world mastercards anymore?
