I just got approved for the Gold Delta and was happy at the time. Now, everything I do, I feel like I have to be careful.
If I get another inquiry, they might shut me down.
If I spend too much, they might shut me down.
If a new tradeline reports, they might shut me down.
If a 25 dollar medical collection returns to my report, they might shut me down.
If I need a new car and apply for a car loan, they might shut me down.
They might look at my file one day and say, "SCREW IT, SHUT THIS SAP DOWN"
I'm starting to wonder why I app'd for this... it's like I opened up an account with the KGB.
my wife appd and after we send our income verification and exelent credit they closed the account
I only have my Crapi 1 and Credit one when i apps for Amex.
The first month i charge nearly 2k on my Green CArd and almost max out my Delta Card ( 1k first open).
After that i apps for 4 more credit card and few inquiry.
They weren't shut me down or anything .
They also let me PC to BCE and increase 3x credit limit
On top of that they let me charge about 10k on my Green Card.
I dont know why you guys worry so much about Amex ????

No doubt they must know what we know.
I don't think you have anything worry about as long as all of the information that you used to obtain the credit is true and can be validated - which is what they would do if it ever did come down to a FR.
I think your fears are overblown. Amex knows what they're doing. They're not going to FR you unless you give them real reason to... and even if they do FR you, as long as your tax returns generally support a) what you said on your app and b) your spending habits, you'll be fine.
Spend freely, especially in the first months after you open the account. Establish a good baseline for what your "normal spending habits" will be, and you should be in fine shape for the future.
My wife put my Amex in her wallet and she got pregnant. Be very careful of this lender guys......

Every time you go outside, a car might crash into you and kill you.
I am starting to wonder why I even go outside, because at any time, I could get crashed into by a car and killed.
I am not trying to poke fun at you. I am just presenting your logic in a different situation. It doesn't seem very rational, does it?
PS. Don't even get me started on airplanes.
You must have flown on one of my recent flights then. hehe
