That's good.  They need to verify your identity.  This usually means an approval for the card.

Yes i do but the DL was handy so i took that

should i also try the cash rewards card from cap one? even though it says 39 annual fee

No, to Cash Rewards if you don't want an AF. The Newcomers doesn't have a fee

Oh... I forgot about the annual fee.  That will be up to you.  If you don't want an annual fee.. I'd app the NewComers card.
