IMO the silver mastercard logo, and to a lesser extent EMV chips, make cards look cooler, more futuristic.

I would take a card made of actual carbon fiber, over stainless steel or palladium, any day. Not sure if that would be feasible though.
This is a good question, based on this I look the look of 3 pf my cards-PRG, Freedom, and SW cards. IMO, the ugliest looking card that I have is my Cash Rewards card.
The small business I work for just got a new Chase Ink card today...I got a good look at it while my boss and I were calling to activate it and add myself and a couple others as AU's. It's basic but not bad looking.
At least we are able to get 60,000 bonus UR points after $5K spend...yay.
I really like the chocolate-brown American Express Card from Harrods - The gold accents look very rich.
Too bad it's not available in the USA

That is a gorgeous card. And it is too bad it's not available here, but Harrods is definitely out of my price range, lol

That is nice! Love the colors.
Here it is, for everyone to enjoy:
@p- wrote:You know, a card design contest would be a great promotion. Get a mid-level card issuer to come up with a new rewards card, and set up a contest where you have to app and be approved to enter, but then you get to submit a design for the card. Winner gets a 100k miles bonus or something.
Would you app for that? Hello myfico marketing peeps, did you catch that?
That's a neat idea - I personally wouldn't be the target audience, as my graphic design skills are only surpassed by my classic ballet skills (i.e. I can't even draw a non-crooked smiley face), but something really awesome could come out of it, considering how many talented people there are out there.
