I still love my USAA MC and AmEx, but right now I'm purring over my PenFed Platinum Cash Rewards: 5% on pay-at-the-pump gas, 2% on groceries, 1.25% everything else. Rewards available promptly, fantastic customer service, you name it.

I'm thinking HTSU will never set foot inside a gas station again.

I have carefully instructed DH a half dozen times that this card is not meant for paying inside while grabbing the chips and beer. Don't know if it's sunk in yet, though... Smiley Tongue

Just make sure he buys the beer and chips at the grocery store.  Or maybe you'll do that, so he's not tempted to go inside the gas station.  You have to train them well and give them incentives, right?

Ped Fed Plat Cash rewards has it going on. I would purr, do back flips and more. Wow. Nope, I can't even consider it - right now that is... It's time for my Sleigh Center meds again.  WTG HTSP! What's the APR on this one? Is there a AF?

Re: Your favorite card

HTSU, wouldn't the chips and beer at the convience store at least count as groceries. You pay for the gas outside for the 5% then go inside for the chips and beer at 2%. Hey even if they don't consider it groceries you still get 1.25% on it. Which is better than most cards ever get.

Probably so! I just want him to pay at the pump. After that, he's on his own.

Re: Your favorite card

Good luck with getting your DHubby on board. 5% is a great percentage.

Re: Your favorite card

Just tell that at $3 a gallon that he is saving 15 cents a gallon in rebates by using that card at the pump.

Re: Your favorite card

Especially when you tell him that leaves more money in the budget for chips and beer which also get a discount at the grocery store.Smiley Very Happy
