Re: Your heavy spending card? Do you have one?

My Discover is just sitting in sleep mode with the occasional small-time purchase. I am waiting for such an offer in the mail. Whenever I get a mailer from Discover, it's their stupid 5% calendar. I've seen that online already. I don't need a paper reminder. They should save their 50 cent mailing fee and give me the money as cashback instead. Smiley Very Happy

Re: Your heavy spending card? Do you have one?

I put all my large purchases through either my amex blue or gold premier rewards...blue because its my highest limit card, and I can run $2000 and still be at 10% utilization even though I PIF, or gold because of the points...I love using points to buy gift cards for people.

Amex Zync

Knowing I would have to pay my balance off in full each month helps me from over spending.

Re: Your heavy spending card? Do you have one?

By far my most used card is my BofA Cash Rewards Visa. I couldn't have said it better. It never declines purchases, there is never any fear that it ever will. It's accepted everywhere. The rewards and benefits are amazing. I have built up $95 in cash back in 2 1/2 months. Can't wait to see what my next statement rewards look like. I use it as if it were my debit card. Out of all my cards it also has the lowest interest rate, the highest CLI, and the despite the fact that I have an AMEX, it has better benefits being a signature--such as the free concierge that I've used and love. Also the warrenty manager.

I do still use my Zync for my monthly bills, but will soon use Discover for those since there is a 2% cash back for the entire year of 2012 so the Zync will get the SD where the discover used to call home.

As for the Freedom & the Capital One, they will remain sock drawered forever. I'm just glad there is no AF, otherwise I would not be a holder of each of these in my wallet/collection. It's sad really because I would give them my business if they issued CLIs that were reasonable on on point with my other lines/spending.

I do use my store cards from time to time to keep getting the GEMB 4 month increases thereby helping with UTL. I'm also excited that my Gap is now a Gap Visa with a $2000 CL!!

Re: Your heavy spending card? Do you have one?

My main card is my BoA Cash Rewards visa 321 card.  It always gives at least 1% cashback.  The 3% rewards on gas saves me so much money, because my commute is very long.  My number two card is my Discover More with the magical 5% categories.

Re: Your heavy spending card? Do you have one?

Mine is my BOA Power rewards visa,  I use this card probably 90 percent of the time. I have several other cards, but the points arent as good, my amex has a better cash back rewards program, but it seems that half the places i shop dont accept amex, so i hardly use it.
