Re: Your top credit goal of 2013

My top credit goal for 2013 is to have all CC paid off (achieved as of 3/15/13), pay off closed account with GEFunFinancing (achieved 3/15/13)

pay off closed account with Chase (achieved 3/15)  have the Tax Liens removed entirely from my CR ...(just got "Withdrawal of Liens After Release" forms and letter from IRS last week...sent in to the 3 CBs ...just waiting for them to delete!  Now, all I want is to see my scores in the 740 range accross the board and get approved for a mortage by September this year (am 1/3 the way saving for the downpayment)

Apr 2013 Score: Apr 2013 TU/ 683 Ex /670 EQ/ 686

Re: Your top credit goal of 2013

Well

Despite all my efforts (paid off CCs as of 3/15) got deletion of Fed Tax Liens (deleted totally from CRA  TU and EXP- EQ still won't delete as required by IRS For, 101619A) no new HPs and a great redux in utilization (down to less than 5%) I experienced a 24pt drop in my TU FICO score.  Its going the wrong direction!  I'm totally frustrated and at a loss as to what to do next.

Re: Your top credit goal of 2013

my goals -

PFD the 3 collections on my reports

garden and carefully manage all my new TL's/CC's

wait for a judgement to fall off in November

so that I can:

eventually get approved for a Walmart CC

drop First Premier before the 2nd year starts and get approved for a better major bank CC

qualify for a better interest rate to refinance my car loan

if I can do all these things my credit will have improved so much by 2014. excited to get this done!

Raise my scores to mid to high 700s and use only 10-20% credit

Re: Your top credit goal of 2013

1) Never make a late payment again.

2) Realize that if I can't pay for it in cash, I can't afford it.

3) Pay off my BofA card that has an AF. Or at least pay down to under $1000, wherein I can BT to a Chase Sapphire or Amex BCE, and close it.

4) Figure out what to do with my rewardless Zync card.

5) Keep my balances low and savings high, so that I can purchase a car in 2014.

Macy's Red Star - $5100 (1/2010)
AMEX Everyday - $9000 (1/2011 Backdated)
AMEX Green Corporate - NPSL
Chase Amazon Prime - $8900 (11/2011)
Lowe's/SYNCB - $6500 (7/2014)
J. Crew/CB - $3500 (2/2015)
Target REDcard - $500 (11/2015)
Citi AAdvantage - $4000 (6/2016)
Chase United MileagePlus - $5000 (2/2017)
