I don't have any bad cards, to be honest... None of them have annual fees, and only two of them generate interest (all others in 0% intro periods).
But the worst of my cards is the Apple Financing Visa, but only in the sense that I can't actually use the thing until I pay off my MBP. It's also nearly maxed out, which cratered my credit score a full hundred points. I'm paying this sucker off as quickly as possible; I expect it to fall to 60% util with my next payment. Once fully paid off, I'm going to try to PC it to something like a Ring MC or whatever else Barclay's is offering at the time.
The best of my cards is my Chase Freedom. It's become my workhorse, and I use it for everything: Bills, dining, supplies for college, you name it. The 1% cash back on everything -- which I can then dump into my checking account -- is awesome. Only my Discover It comes close to seeing as much use.
My worst card is the gold Best Buy MC w/ annual fee of $59 and a limit of $300! The only reason I got this card because of Citi buying the BB's cards portfolio.. I burned Citi a looong time ago.
I did get the AF permanently removed via the EO. Now, it's in the sock drawer.
My best card is NFCU signature Visa. No explanations needed!!
Worst: C1 nee Orchard Bank still with the same awkward $59 AF and a $400 limit.
Best: Amex BCP 3K.
Took roughly 1.5 years between the two, the interesting question to me is where the BCP will be after the second CLI shot, likely my best card for a while if Amex continues to treat me well.
Tbh, I don't have any bad cards. But my favorite card is my Chase Freedom or my Citi Forward, since these are the 2 cards I use frequently. However that will soon change when my SW RR Plus card will come in .
The worst card I've ever had was a Visa classic (with no rewards) from BofA. I just turned 18 and was given a 1k limit, so I guess I couldn't complain too much.
The best card I've had is probably my Chase UA club WEMC from a pure benefits perspective. I was an AU on a centurion when I was younger, but I don't really count that as mine.
I used to have a credit one card with a $200 limit back in 2008 when I still had derogs on my credit report. I cant remember the fees but they were high. They even charged me to make a payment! I closed them after about a year and went credit card-less until 2010 when my credit reset.
My current worst card now would have to be my USAA MC. It has the second best interest rate but I dont carry balances. It is my lowest credit limit and my worst rewards card.
My best would have to be my Chase Sapphire Preferred/Freedom combo. For me though they both have to be used exclusivley and in coordination with eachother for them to pay off.
I went through a Dave Ramsey period where I had no cards, my rebuilding card was my worst, I guess: a USAA Platinum MC with a $3k limit. It has since graduated to World MC and 14k limit. The rewards are craptastic though.
The best is my AmEx BCP with a $21.8k limit, backdated to 2002 and no annual fee. (active duty military)
I would say my worst CC so far is the Barclays MC just because of the crappy CL they gave me, and it is also my newest my CC..
My best would be my Freedom because I also have a Chase checking account therefore, I rack up lots of points lol.
My worst were *any* of the initial Bank cards with 0 rewards and $19.95 annual fee cards.
All modern rewards cards are actually very good, whereas all "modern" non-rewards cards are still in the "worst" category, in my view.
