Zales CLI

So, I need my Zales card to be a little higher than $500.  You know, I applied at the store and they didn't even ask me for my income, just checked my credit (not the best, currently EQ is in the 640's, though).  My income is over 100K, though.  My 6th statement will cut on the 6th and I am thinking if there is no auto CLI at 6 months, I should request a CLI.  Of course it says that I give permission for them to pull my credit, so that is not encouraging.  Anyone with a Zales card, I have 3 questions:

  1. Did you receive an auto-CLI at 6 months.
  2. If you requested a CLI, was it actually a hard pull?
  3. I want to ask for at least triple the amout ($1500).  More if possible.  What are your suggestions for asking for a limit?

Re: Zales CLI

Ha, answered my own question about auto-CLI.  My credit limit went from $500 to $600 today.  The statement has not cut yet as of 1AM EDT on May 7th.  Anyone know about my other 2 questions?  Also, I have an additional question.  Do I have to wait any period of time between an auto-CLI and a requested one?

Re: Zales CLI

2.  Being that your account is 6 months old, the original hard inquiry will stop being a FICO factor in 6 more months, so if you do incur a new hard, in 6 months you will be back down to just a single Zales inquiry having any impact.

3.  If they will consider you income in the CLI decision, then it makes sense to do this as it will add to the decision.  Are you spending on this account?  Are you making payments or PIF?  What derogs do you have that are holding your score down?
