i plan on flying at least 2-3 times next year. i am wondering what card if any would be good for this. or if i can get an easy credit card for flying that will give me perks too
I thin you should first look at which airlines flys the most into where you live. Whether it be delta, aa, united, us air, or any other one. Then apply. It seems that the Citi AA card is very easy to get. ive seen peolpe with mid to low 600 on who gave me credit getting them . its also a visa sig.
We fly Delta a lot, so the Delta AmEx works for us. We use it as our go-to card, so we build lots of miles. Flew to Boston free in June and still have about 165,000 miles saved. Use the free checked bags. And on Tuesday I fly to New York. Paid for my ticket, and my daughter is flying free on the companion certificate.
You are the only one who can determine if the annual fee works for you. It way more than earns its keep at our house...but each case is individual.

depends what airline you like to fly and also depends if it's domestic or international.
3-4+ flights a year or atleast 1+ international trips a year I would vote Amex Platinum.
If you fly Delta you have to get Delta Skymiles but gotta warn you it's a terrible card for miles redemption. Just for free checked back and priority boarding.
Do you have to have flights? does priority boarding mean anything to you ? etc
Sometimes Airline cards aren't the best, Amex Starwood hotel card fits more people than airline cards themselves sometimes and is very flexible, and points transfer to miles pretty nicely.
Then there's the Hilton Surpass which gives you a partial Priority pass ($27 pass instead of $50+) with a $99 annual membership but 1 free night at a Hilton hotel a night, and you even get extra points with things like grocery shopping so you don't have to build all the points just on travel etc.
I didnt get a new card put it on freedom and got 5% back
