I filed for bankruptcy with amex back in 1981---applied for BCE on 1 Mar 14--approved 2K instantly online--waited 2 hours and called customer service rep and asked if they could back date to 1979---done--card came in the mail with msn 1979--used right away--aoaa went up 35 years with one call! My reason for posting this is the ever ending I'm afraid attitude that if I call and tell them I burned them something bad is going to happen--remember the compaines need us not the other way around!!!!!!!!
