amex payments?

with amex charge cards what is the real payment date? i spoke to several CSR's and they all said 30 days. i have a payment due the 23rd with is 15 days from when the statement cut. i called and made a payment to be made on the 24th is that ok?

My statement end date is the 23rd; if I don't have a store zero reporting then the reports reflect a balance. I then have until the 8th to pay in full.

ok but how come amex gives us such sort amount of time to pay. i called and set everything up CSR said nothing will happen. because as long as the payment is made before the next closing date its fine.

Are you telling us, that you are struggling to pif a charge card BY the due date?

5/2012: 560 credit scores across the board
12/2014: 750+
3/2017: 780+

If that's what the AMEX reps are telling you then I would go with that. Just don't make it a habit of going beyond the "Please Pay By" date.

My understanding is that you pay 30 days after your last statement. For example, in my case my statement cuts on the 3rd of the month .. I have 15 days to pay in full .. but the 18th marks 30 days since my last payment!

i never have and never will again. i hate doing that. something came up with school and i needed to pay. but i realiezed i sent in other payments to early so i canceled them  and now i a good. i was send them in like 3 weeks early. i can just wait til next pay check and paythem.

thats what i thought and 15 days is kind of a short time. i mean arent cards 21 days or something like that?
