Re: ....and the only reason I was declined was...

Gardening is letting inq's/accts age. Also to work on any baddies that you may have on your CR's. Perfect time to work on sp CLI's as well. Basically, let your CR's rest from the dings of HPs.

We have a whole thread of credit addicts that will welcome you with open arms.

It's the Garden Club in credit cards. Peps helping peps to not apply with a litte humor mixed in. First page explains it.

To "garden", as the term implies, allows for your recent credit seedlings to grow over time as your credit profile ages/matures.

You can check out the Garden Club monthly thread via this link for more info > http://ficoforums.myfico.com/t5/Credit-Cards/Garden-Club-Meeting-December-2013/td-p/2622315

Don't apply for anymore. I think if you wait a while they will accept you, with or without more credit added to your name. I know it's hard to wait, but I have to do it too. I went on an app spree over the Summer (overall I got 5 cards this year, but approved for 6 originally but didn't want the 6th one) but there were companies that did deny me credit.

Have you pulled CRs lately?  You might want to see what's reporting on you.   At least with the denials, you can get some free CRs if you haven't already done so.

And +1 to the Garden!

Re: ....and the only reason I was declined was...

They declined me last year when I only had 4 inquiries on my report.

I even wrote a recon letter and they shot that down too.

After that, I read about the puny credit lines they were giving and then wasn't too disappointed. lol
