applying 4 a new card, should i wait????

Hello EveryoneSmiley Happy

 

ive been a memeber here, but never posted.. this is my first postSmiley Happy

 

i wanna apply for a new card and i just paid my balance on my capital one CC in full, should i wait until the balance is reflected on my credit report before applying for a new card with another bank? or does it not matter?

If your utilization improves significantly, your FICO score will be better.  Have you calculated how much it changes?

 thank you for replying... yes ive calculated it but wasnt sure if it would really change based on the calculations, but it calculated a score gain of 40 points

It's always best to wait to app if your UTL is going to improve.

Congrats on paying down your bill.

 

While you may want to apply for a new card you do not mention anything else about your credit profile. 

 

Is this your only CC?

 

Do you have any negatives reporting?

 

How old is your AAoA?

 

Do you have any other debts presently?

 

These are just a few questions that would help others in giving you their opinions.

im currently working on improving my credit score

this is my only CC (Good standing)

 

i have 4 negative reportings in collections 

 

i have an auto loan with chase bank (good standing)

 

i dont know what AAoA is???

 

Ex score is 561

AAoA is Average Age of Accounts.

Where did you get your Ex score?  Is that actually your EQ score instead?  In any case, you should work on getting the baddies off before applying for more CCs.
