autorized user on hubbys credit card need advise

ok working on credit for 6 months went from 510 to 630s average fico 8,my hubby got 2 cards when i started rebuilding credit and he added me as authorize user limit is low 500.00 on 1 700.00 on the other,im gona get me one soon as score comes up a little bit, still dont prequalify yet,my question is when he applied and got his we didnt know he could use both our incomes but he recently found out he could which he updated on credit cards sites it uped the income38000.00,so does he need to try and up the limit ,would it help my score more or should i just wait until i can get my own unsecured card myself.credit.com says i have very good chance of getting a capital one card now just trying to wait till score comes up a little more so i wont get denied

Additional limit won't help; wouldn't worry about that.

You do want to get your own tradelines at some point; with a 630ish score I'd be checking a couple pre-qual sites and I'd pick up one card and then sit on my hands for a while and then at 680ish I'd pick out two more cards I actually wanted.  I wouldn't wait on the first one though.  I also wouldn't worry about getting denied if I were picking appropriate cards, inquiries aren't a big deal and are expected when you first start building credit.
