Maybe, the European arm may be a completely seperate business entity without integrated systems.
It's worth calling and asking though.
let me clear some point.if your account opened in 2001 they will add AU from account 2001. but if you just onpened in 2013 and backdated 2001 .AU will reporting in 2013

Trish: that's not how it works today or I'm possibly confused as to the situation you're describing. Not certain when the change came in.
Any AU (ACM) that is added to an existing tradeline today, if they do not have a relationship with Amex previously (and this may hold true regardless of if they do even), will have a new tradeline with a reporting date of 2013.
You cannot get your ACM account backdated to the original tradeline's opening date anymore.

I'm kinda confused on reading that, but let's say in an account holder openned the first Amex card in 1980. Then he added you in 2005. and say you JUST got approved for your own personal card today. You can have your personal card backdated to 2005 when the first time you had an Amex card in your name. It works as well if you ever worked for a company who gave you a company card. as long as your name and info is in their system it's valid.
i said so because. i opend account in 2004 then closed in 2005 . i opened Amex in 2013,they backdated my account at 2004, then i add my family to my new Amex account that backdated to 2004,then they reported my account opened in 2004 but they reported AU 2013( another thing is they sent AU card with 2003 member, but still reported 2013 )
