Chase hates me, but I don't need them, on the other hand the value in Lowes to me is their long term financing for major projects. Last Spring I had a new roof put on the house, $9500 at 5.99% for 84 months which is cheaper than I could have got from an installment loan or personal loan - I can always pay it off faster, but my best credit card carries a 7.24% APR but would not have covered $9500 - to me that's worth it.
Do I close toy limit cards because they don't grow - yup, every year but only because they are not useful for me in my situation.
