Re: being denied

dont apply for anything else. call them and see if they can reconsider your app. call the backdoor number that is in the sticky on the top of the myfico forums.

Hello,

Im new with this credit stuff. I recently applied for Oldnavy and was approved for the Visa card CL of $1,000. Also, just today, I was approved for Dillard's Amex Car CL of $500. Because of excitement and getting this first two "credit card" I tried applying for Cap 1 and Amazon Visa Card (Chase) and was denied. Can you guys help me out and tell me the reason why i cannot get into this other credit cards that involves "bank"? Im so confused. thank you for the help.

As of 3/12/12

With Transunion:  753

With Equifax (FICO): 735

With Experian: 726

Congrats on your approvals!!!

I would say more than likely your recent INQ's are holding you down on these cards.

I just googled to see whats best credit card for first timers, it turned out that card showed up as one of the recommended cards. It was a Green Card.

You may have applied for the excellent credit version of the Green Cash Back card. There are two versions (Average / Excellent)
