best prime card to transfer balance?

My Fiance has 800+ credit score and a little bit of a balance on a discover with a 11.62% interest rate. I suggested she call to get them to lower the interest rate and they gave her some crap about it.  she has had excellent credit with them and everyone for years...

what do you suggest for a good prime card for her to transfer this balance to?

any current promotions going on that any of you know about?

she is on the opt-out list so isn't getting any offers in the mail.

Try citi and Chase.

BofA gives out BT offers like candy, but they don't cap their BT fees. This is the big thing to look out for: you want the BT fee to cap out at $99 max, especially with scores like hers. The motivation behind a CCC offering her a card is that they might not make money on the BT, but they want her as a long-term customer.

Penfed is offering 2.99% on balance transfers now. They have a good rewards card you might want to look into.

Best part of the PenFed BT is it is not limited by time.

It is for the Life of the BT and does not change to another APR rate later.

Discover is offering 0 APR for a year, based on good credit, for BT. Transaction charge is 3% of balance transfered. Poor credit gets 6 months.

discover is what we are wanting to transfer from... but it is a sams discover. she also has a regular discover that she has had for about 15 years with a 15k cl that she rarely uses...

but they gave her the 'we can submit your request and you will get a response in 10-14 days'

thats crap. as long as she has been a customer with them, they should be able to do a soft pull and determine if they will give her the reduction in interest rate or not.

Yeah, they don't allow you to BT to another Discover card.

I tried to transfer from HSBC Discover to the real Discover and was turned down.

You don't get a Discover card with "poor" credit... maybe less than desirable credit.
