The slate is still going to be the easiest. Keep in mind though, even chase's easiest card can be difficult to get. They are sensitive to any form of baddies.

Re: chase card..

Im not sure either us easier per se, there are people getting Freedoms with low limits just as those getting the Sig version. I actually got both in September and I'm not at all 'new' to credit. Limit on the Slate Visa is 7000 whereas the Freedom Signature Visa is 6500. Both approved with 1 HP minutes apart and score was TU 765.

Oh wow I didn't know Chase would do one pull for multiple products at the same time. I wish I would have known that a couple days ago.

Re: chase card..

If its really 1 pull if you do two. I personally would try for the Freedom and the sapphire preferred or the regular sapphire ( no AF)

Re: chase card..

Oops, sorry about the mis-info, I was told by the rep at my local chase bank that with slate you have to pay in full every month when I was there. I suppose he's wrong then.

whats a eaiser chase credit card to get the slate or freedom. i know the sapphire is harder to get..

I think both are pretty much the same....so go with Freedom if that card fit your needs better than Slate. App for Slate only if you want to do a BT imho. That's what the card was designed for...ppl who will carry a balance. GL...just do your homework throughly before apping to give yourself the best possibility to get approved.

Re: chase card..

I don't know if a 2-for-1 is the exception rather than the rule, but I had some pretty sweet offers for both so that's why. I didn't choose the Sapphire because I have a few Visa Sigs, a World MC, AMEX Green (now Platinum) and Delta Gold. I really didn't need another 'prestige' card. Besides, all the offers had no spending requirement whereas the Sapphire (and Preferred) require 3-5K in spending in 90 days to claim the bonuses. Another reason.
