The plastic will remain as Signature until expiration (unless it automatically generates a replacement or you keep the current CC for novelty purposes I suppose). The internal coding on the account will change to non-Signature and any associated benefits will be downgraded to Platinum. There have been a few (if not rare) instances where (depending how the account gets coded from the PC/downgrade) whereby some folks were able to keep the Signature benefits yet the CL was below $5K.
