Did you have Freedom and Chase Banking before 2013? If so, you should have got it then, but probably transferred to the new program. Did you get a 10% for 2014 points?
I have this on my Freedom account. It makes for a nice little bonus, 10 points per swipe and 10% of points. Makes me want to use the Freedom on regular small transactions, because it's like getting double points on a typical lunch entree of $6 or $7. Small victories!
I only just noticed it this year. The Freedom is from 2005 and the Checking is from 2011.

Right. There use to be posts explaining which card to use when, because the CSP had its 1.07/2.14 structure and Freedom 10%+10. So Freedom was alway better except for those categories where CSP was 2x,, and even then, if say a fiood purchase was less than about $5, Freedom is still better.
If they ever successfully remove all bonuses from both cards, it becomes much more simple: just use the card with a category bonus if applicable, otherwise it doesn't matter.

If you don't already have it I doubt you can get it. You can certainly check with Chase.
