chase signature visa recon

I received an invitation to apply for the Chase signature visa card, so I did. I got the letter stating that it was denied. I called the recon number and the guy I spoke with asked me a bunch of questions and then said that he would put my application  in for reconsideration. Does that mean that it was denied again? I keep reading where everyone is either denied or approved instantly. Has anyone ever had this happen? I am on pins and needles now wondering..the suspense is killing me! Should I call back today, or check on it tomorrow, or just wait for the letter?

There's no reason you can't call back, I did and just was very nice, not pushy. "I was just confused about....should I call back another time......can you check for me?" -- that kind of thing.

Although I do think they gave me a specific number, like "we're recommending a 5000 limit", so I don't know what to tell you. Good luck, though!
