[ Edited ]

I think that analyst may be misinformed.  Given the popularity of Chase products in general on this forum, statistically someone would've run across this issue as we play reindeer games with our revolving utilization.

In this case, if the billing cycle closed on 8/26, the statement may be delayed a bit (and it was on a weekend, banking hours apply to computer systems too for some reason) and then it's another couple of days before credit reports are often updated.  I'm pretty certain they will give you a statement at least, whether or not they report it is admittedly a different issue.

We've had reports in the past of accounts getting "stuck" at a balance when paid to zero (Hi Discover!) and I even had a really odd one with DCU and TU this week where they reported a balance from two months ago, when it was zero reported last month, and zero this month on EQ too; however, I strongly doubt that Chase has made a unilateral decision on this, and it's likely the CSR's being incorrect... or else Chase's well deserved and lofty reputation on this forum in particular is going to be mud near instantaneously :smileyhappy:.

Starting Score: EQ 561, TU 567, EX 599* (12/30/11, EX lender pull 12/29/11)
Current Score: EQ 660, Wally TU 697, EX unknown (05/13/13)
Goal Score: 680 in all three (01/01/14)

Re: chase wont report a 0 balance?

Chase just reported my UA card with a 0 balance.  Maybe the CSR misunderstood your question?

That makes no sense. My Chase accounts report 0 balances to the credit bureau. Maybe she meant you won't get an actual statement but it should still report.

Re: chase wont report a 0 balance?

Or did you not use the card at all?  Non use = non reporting for some card issuers.
