chip readers

Lately at most places it seems the chip slots rarely work at merchants. At walmart they wouldnt let me swipe so had to use the chip card reader. It just wouldnt go through with trying 3 different cards. The cashier had to manually type in the number for it to go through. Curious what everyones experience is so far with the chips?

Re: chip readers

I know that Walmart's readers don't always "catch" the chip unless you feel the click. If you're just casully sliding the card in until it stops, it might not have "caught" the chip.

Re: chip readers

It doesnt bother me just felt bad the rep had to slow the line a little typing it in. I prefer the old swipe way but im sure ill get used to the reader.
