I applied for a Citi Simplicity card because of the blalnce transfer offer several years ago, I was intially approved for 12k. After paying off my balance (8K) in a year, Citi auto CLI me to 28K with a standard purchase apr of 9%. I use it every few months, and PIF to keep it active. I've had good luck with Citi.
