combining cards with citi

will citi let me close my diamond preferred and transfer the limit to my thankyou card? if so, what number should i call to ask them?

I had the frontline representatives tell me they couldn't do it but a suprevisor could. The supervisor said it would be a hard inquiry and the underwriting team would approve or decline the "increase". It was declined since I had just received an increase the day before. I contacted the executive office and she said the same thing about an inquiry but this time it was approved to transfer the limit. Another inquiry never showed for either request.

I rang. I really don't remember which number I used. I would try the retention number that azguy13 posted.
