Quick Question, I purchased a computer 2.5 months ago. The computer stopped working, I can not open the software I oredered with it. I thought if a company does not fix the problem, I can dispute the credit charge? Is this the case? It is Besy Buy.
Did you take it back to Best Buy? That's
the first step.
Give Best Buy the chance to fix the problem first.

already went to best buy, they will not fix the proble. Do I call to dispute the charge? Best Buy wants me to pay a minimal charge $140.
What do I do?
More info. Why won't they fix it?
What kind of computer is it? You must
have some kind of warranty?
Did you use your Best Buy credit card or some other company? If it was AMEX, they would cover it.
i used mastercard. i ill call my card and see.
For my computer, the warranty is serviced by the manufacturer, not the retailer. You may have to contact the manufacturer directly to get this problem resolved.
I don't have my warranty agreement in front of me, but I think that pre-installed software might be covered under the warranty. Problems due to software that is not pre-loaded isn't covered by the warranty.
Is the issue with your machine hardware or software related?
I bought some special coverage from
the retailer.
